Hi, I’m Susan Terra – The Natural Voice
So what does being a natural mean? You can’t fake being natural, you have to live it, walk the walk, take a few risks and go rogue now and then. …It means eating wholesome food and cooking organic feasts for friends and family. It means being an outdoor warrior- hiking in the mountains, skiing with backcountry with dogs, creating your own style that speaks to your personality and values, travelling around the world, and sharing stories by the campfire. Relating to a wide variety of people comes naturally, when you live naturally.
Being a Voice Actor takes chops and gear and training and ten thousand hours behind the mic – but it also takes life experience to turn the words on a page into a narration or commercial that cuts through the noisy clutter – a voice that is instantly relatable, straightforward, wise and smart.
When I’m not voice acting I am flinging myself headlong into wild adventures or helping people in unspoiled places – from Zambia to Turkey, to the Haida Gwaii and Buenos Aires, climbing Cotopaxi and hiking Machu Piccu, eating my way through Tuscany and stomping the peat bogs in Skye – my passion for a healthy planet, mindful living, women’s equality, and working to create an end to sexualized violence runs deep. In my free time I am volunteering, blogging about style, fitness, travel and living in the mountains, and raising my teenage son.
